Casa Cantonments began as an act of restoration—both spatial and emotional. Once an office that held a legacy holder's business affairs, the space was reimagined as a new setting for family connection and a refined lounge for evolving professional gatherings. The design sought to honor memory while embracing renewal, transforming a modest 747 sqft (44 sqm) interior into a unified environment that bridges reflection, legacy, and contemporary life.
The design language draws from themes of remembrance and continuity. Dark stained woods provide a grounding architectural framework, while bold yet muted jewel tones and tactile materials—bouclé, velvet, and African furred textures—introduce warmth and depth. A vibrant Rosso Levanto stone arch emerges as the central architectural gesture, adjacent a stone bar and wooden display shelving that anchor the room’s social rituals. Family photographs and sculptural decor quietly weave personal history into the environment, allowing memory to live alongside new conversations.
Through careful orchestration of colour, pattern, and texture, two seemingly different functions—family gathering and business entertaining—resolve into a cohesive spatial narrative. Casa Cantonments becomes a place of quiet strength: a living room where heritage, hospitality, and future ambitions coexist with elegance and intention.
